December 14, 2018

QAZAQ AIR, the regional airline of Kazakhstan, are now offering one of the best options in the market for Captains on the Q-400, with a new six weeks on / six weeks off roster, providing not only the way to get 100% salary in 50% of the working time, but additionally including per-diems, housing allowances, ground transportation and travel allowances.

The airline has successfully passed the IOSA operational safety audit of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), and to celebrate it the airline has offered to all Captains on the Q400 this 42 days ON, 42 days OFF commuting contract starting January 2019. (see details here)

An accredited independent audit expert performed a check for compliance with about 1000 standards and recommended IATA practices. All areas of Qazaq Air’s operating activities were meticulously scrutinised, including the organisation structure and corporate management, flight operations, aircraft maintenance, flight control, and dispatch, ground handling, aviation security and safety of flight operations.

“Safety has always been the main priority of Qazaq Air from the very first day that my team and I started the airline in 2015. We are therefore delighted to have successfully passed the IATA operational safety audit and to have international recognition of our efforts in this area,” said Qazaq Air’s founding CEO, Blair Treherne Pollock. “Obtaining our IOSA Certificate will create new opportunities for us and will allow Qazaq Air to carry out regular international flights”.

IOSA has helped at least 420 airlines in the world to improve their operational safety. Compliance with IOSA standards has become in practice an important requirement for international carriers to conclude interline agreements. After Air Astana and SCAT Airlines, now a third carrier from Kazakhstan has received IOSA Certificate, Qazaq Air. “Over 95% of air travellers from the country will be served by IOSA audited carriers and this is a clear evidence of the high safety level in civil aviation of Republic of Kazakhstan in whole,” said IATA Area Manager for Central Asia, Jordan Karamalakov.
