John ‘Paddy’ Hemingway, who was the last surviving fighter pilot to have fought in the Battle of Britain, passed away on 17th of March 2025, after a long life of 105 years. Members of the Royal Family led the tribute following his passing. John was barely 21 when he fought in the battles of France and Britain.
