Zhang Wu’an, spokesman for Spring Airlines, uttered that, as the rapid development of modern wireless technology, there is a growing demand for using mobile phone during flight. Several national research institutes and professional organizations, including aircraft manufacturers, have conducted the ongoing research on whether mobile phones can be used in the flight. China Civil Aviation Administration has been working on technical tests and regulations revision etc., and the use of mobile phones on aircraft has been basically mature.
At that time, it is not necessary to power off your phone, but it can only be used in flight mode. “Passengers also have to follow the guidance of the crew at any time,” Zhang said, “If the crew finds any interference, the mobile phone will be banned at any time.”
What’s more, Spring Airlines redefined elderly passenger’s age, increasing it from 75 to 80. Passengers above 80 years old (including 80) are required to provide a valid medical certificate to board. This took effect from February 1, 2018 as a new Spring Festival travel service measure.
