A UK-based company called Apple Camping has come up with a very unique stay. After taking a retired Airbus A320 from Etihad Airlines and converting it into a fully equipped vacation rental, they have aptly named it the "Apple Air". The pricing of the rental starts at 250 USD per night and has space for up to four guests. It is full of aviation touches, including working cabin doors, actual trolleys and original overhead lighting signage, combined with modern comforts.  Â
The aircraft also houses a kitchen, Wi-Fi, heating and a lavatory that has been refitted as a hot shower. Outside, a west-facing deck and themed seating area extends the experience. The project is not the first of its kind; it is a part of the growing trend of refitting airframes for use as hospitality assets.Â
The Airbnb is located in Redberth within Pembrokeshire, amid a larger estate that also includes a UFO-shaped Airbnb. Guest step through the original cabin door into an open living space that is built around the fuselage of the aircraft.Â
In terms of outdoor spaces, the Airbnb features a west-facing deck with double-glazed frontage and blackout blinds, opening onto a sheltered "Arabian Nights" nook that can be used by guests for dining.Â
The trend of converting old aircraft into luxury and high-end holiday homes is a growing one and is here to stay.Â
