Brookie’s Aviation Adventures: Celebrating Young Writers and Building the Next Chapter
Brookie's Aviation Adventures 2026 celebrates the creativity, imagination and storytelling talents of young writers aged 9-11 from across the UK. Created through the Brookie National Writing Competition, the project uses Brookfield Aviation's mascot, Brookie, to bring together aviation, literacy and creative expression, encouraging children to explore new ideas and share their stories.
With the first digital collection now published, Brookfield Aviation International is also looking ahead to the 2027 programme, inviting selected sponsors to help inspire the next generation of young writers, creators and future aviation professionals.

For many of the children featured, this will be the first time they can proudly call themselves a published author. Having their work included in Brookie's Aviation Adventures 2026 and shared with readers beyond their school is a significant achievement and an important milestone in their writing journey. Many of the young authors have also been featured in local newspapers and online media across the UK, providing additional recognition for their creativity and helping to celebrate their success with family, friends and their wider communities.

Looking ahead to 2027
Planning is already underway for Brookie’s Aviation Adventures 2027, with the ambition of reaching even more children and schools.
We are now inviting a limited number of sponsors and partners from a range of industries to support the next competition.
While aviation remains at the heart of Brookie’s world, the programme also celebrates creative writing, literacy, storytelling and imagination. We welcome interest from organisations in aviation, aerospace, sport, travel, publishing, bookselling, education, technology, engineering and other industries that share our commitment to inspiring young people.
Sponsorship opportunities will be limited so that each partner can have a meaningful connection with the programme and appropriate visibility throughout the 2027 competition.
