Brookie’s Aviation Adventures 2027: Help Inspire the Next Generation

Brookfield Aviation is inviting a limited number of organisations to become partners of Brookie’s Aviation Adventures 2027, a national creative writing and aviation awareness programme for UK pupils aged 9 to 11.

The programme combines literacy, imagination and aviation education to help young people explore new possibilities while learning about the people, careers and opportunities that exist across the aviation industry.

Building on the success of 2026

The 2026 programme showed what can happen when imagination is given a real destination.

Children from across the UK were invited to put pen to paper and create original stories and poems inspired by Brookie, Brookfield Aviation’s mascot. Three national winners were selected, alongside 11 additional Book Token winners, with 14 pieces of original writing published in Brookie’s Aviation Adventures 2026.

For many of the children involved, the project also marked their first experience as a published author, with their work shared not only through the book itself but, in many cases, through local newspapers and online media within their communities.

For the national winners, the journey went beyond publication. At London Oxford Airport, they met aviation professionals, explored airport operations, visited air traffic control and emergency services, experienced flight simulation, discovered aircraft maintenance and took to the air in a light aircraft.

For some, that experience changed the way they viewed aviation completely. One winner came away saying the day had made her wonder whether she might want to become a pilot.

That is exactly what Brookie’s Aviation Adventures was created to achieve.

Looking ahead to 2027

For 2027, Brookfield Aviation plans to build on that foundation, reach more schools and create even more opportunities for children to connect creative writing with real-world aviation.

We are seeking a small group of partners from across airlines, OEMs, airports, MROs, aerospace, engineering, technology, education, publishing, travel, sport and community organisations.

Partnerships can be financial, in-kind or blended, supporting areas such as school outreach, publication, prizes, aviation experiences, career engagement and community reach.

For sponsors, Brookie’s Aviation Adventures offers more than visibility. It is an opportunity to help children discover the people, skills and careers that keep aviation moving.

Today’s young writer could become tomorrow’s pilot, engineer, technician, air traffic controller or aviation leader.

Be part of Brookie’s next chapter

Brookie’s Aviation Adventures 2027 is inviting a limited number of partners to help us reach more schools, inspire more young writers and introduce more children to the possibilities of a future in aviation.

Whether your organisation can contribute through funding, aviation access, education, publishing, technology, prizes, experiences or community reach, we would welcome a conversation about how you could become part of the programme.
