Brookfield Aviation: Building Careers, Community, and Connections

In aviation, success is measured not only by the destinations reached but by the people who help shape the journey. A recent farewell message from Mikela Escobal Castillo, a Royal Jordanian pilot completing her contract, beautifully highlighted this truth and showcased the deeper impact of Brookfield Aviation’s approach to placements.

As she prepared to leave Jordan, Mikela shared heartfelt gratitude for her time with Royal Jordanian (RJ): “Flying for RJ has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I leave with memories, lessons, and a heart full of gratitude. Thank you for making me feel like part of one big, wonderful family.”

Her words were met with equally touching messages from the RJ team, clear evidence of the strong relationships formed during her stay.

Najwan Daqa, Director of the Training Department, wrote warmly: “Your dedication, kindness, and spirit made you unforgettable. You’ll always be part of our RJ family, and Jordan will always welcome you back.”

Hadeel Khayrikhamash , RJ’s Training Manager, praised not just her professionalism but her role as an inspiring woman in aviation: “Seeing you succeed with such passion brings even more pride to my heart. You will continue to shine.”

And Rusha Zoubi, Head of HR, echoed the sentiment with appreciation for her commitment and impact: “Although your time with us was short, you left an excellent impression across all teams. You’ll always be welcome at RJ, and Peru is now on my list.”

These exchanges reflect something far greater than a typical placement experience. They demonstrate a culture of support, belonging, and mutual respect, values Brookfield Aviation prioritises in every placement.

At Brookfield Aviation, the mission extends far beyond securing contracts for aviation professionals. The focus is on placing individuals in environments where they feel confident, valued, and empowered to grow.

Through careful matching, Brookfield ensures pilots join airlines that not only recognise their skills but also invest in their development, just as Royal Jordanian did with Mikela.

Carlos Guerrero, Brookfield’s Vice President for Latin America, has played a key role in building these meaningful connections. Known for his personal approach, he consistently ensures that every pilot is placed where their expertise is respected and their potential fully supported.

For Brookfield, success is not measured by onboarding numbers; it’s measured by stories like Mikela’s, where professional growth intertwines with personal bonds that last long after the contract ends.

Aviation careers are demanding, but when pilots join organisations where they are welcomed like family, the experience becomes transformative. Mikela’s time at RJ is a testament to that, shaped by leaders who care and a recruitment partner who understands the importance of belonging.
