The British Aviation Experience

Two weeks in UK for 14-18 year olds

Brookfield Education and Training have introduced a unique two week course for aviation professionals of the future. The British Aviation Experience is for boys and girls (14-18 years) from all over the world who will come to the U.K. during the summer where they will experience many aspects of life as a pilot, including three flying lessons on light aircraft, a chance to fly the Boeing 747 simulator, and emergency training.

There will also be visits to a MRO facility, aviation museums, airline headquarters as well as some exciting recreational activities such as kart racing and sightseeing in London and Cardiff. The students will stay in the halls of residence of Brunel University in London, where they will have English lessons most days. There will also be some talks with pilots and other airline professionals during the evenings.

"This a really good way to help young people to decide whether or not they would like a career in aviation and is a wonderful experience for the participants" said Alvaro Arango, Brookfield's education co-ordinator, " we launched the programme two weeks ago and already we have students booked on the course from all over Europe as well as from China and South America. They will go home with improved English language, flying experience and a broader outlook on life having spent time with other kids from around the world, not to mention having a lot of fun during the two weeks"

There are initially two course dates planned for 2017, commencing 22nd July and 19th August. For further information please see www.brookfieldav.com/education-projects. A limited number of places on both courses are still available.
